Bande||Sonore is a sound design studio based in the north of France working for games, film, location-based installations and product design.

Services
Sound Design
We supervise all things audio and advocate for a broad use of sound by dealing equally with voice, music, technology and sound effect.
Voice direction, sound effect creation, music editing, music supervision, traditional Foley.
Interactive Design
For the past 10 years, we have been designing sound for interactive environments. From the very beginning, our systems have been noted for being highly expressive, robust and have been praised by directors and users for their ability to bring sound forward as a major contributor.
Game engines, audio middlewares, proprietary environments, with a lot of common sense and an innate aversion for technological debauchery, we deliver beautiful sonic experiences to order.
Mixing
Our main room is organised around a full range, all analog 2.1 speaker system and mastering hardware. We have also developed expert mixing knowledge of virtual reality and ambisonics. But more importantly, we learned to simplify our processes and to keep the focus on good sound.
Music and OSTs mixing, game mastering, location-based mixing for immersive rooms, domes and other non-traditionnal formats.
Recording
Equipped with a large range of microphone capsules that goes from the vintage ribbon to the oddball hydrophones, photophones and contact microphones, we are ready for anything and are continuously expanding our internal library and props collection.
Location music recording with top of the line equipment, simple VO setups, outdoor field recording.
Beyond sound
We talk with directors, composers, programmers and producers from concept to release. We offer our input on dialogue and interactive designs and we seek every opportunity to tell it with sound.

Pierre-Marie Blind
Pierre-Marie founded Bande||Sonore in 2020. Fascinated by sound in all its possibilities, he studied classical music and industrial sound design, assisted Foley artists, record producers, electroacoustic composers, watched mastering and jazz engineers at work, and delved into theater production. From 2018 to 2020, he led the audio on the VR Escape Games at Ubisoft Düsseldorf. His curiosity for virtual reality and this powerful sensation of "being there, elsewhere" has not left him since. He has designed and directed the audio on dozens of VR experiences, movies, documentaries and games, such as Puzzling Places, Nana Lou, JFK Memento, Champ de Bataille.
Interested in word etymology and the delicate task of describing sounds, Pierre-Marie has been writing a sound dictionary in English since 2017. He hopes, as much as he fears, to publish it before the end of the current decade.

Hugo Delplanque
Hugo joined the studio in june 2025 as an interactive audio designer. In charge of Puzzling Places' monthly DLCs, he crafts soundscapes with an attentive ear, as well as designs the sound and systems for an unannounced game project.
